Canada is purchasing new "billion dollar birds". The F-35 Lockheed Martin is an advanced multiple role fighter jet. Probably the last high tech fighter jet built for human flight operation.

UAV (unmanned aerial vehicles) can now preform many activities previously done by a manned fighter or bomber aircraft.

Humans are limited by G forces reacting on the body in extreme flight maneuvers. Pilot less machines can preform more dangerous operations with out placing a pilot or soldier at risk. "Computer brains" perform complex flight controls allowing the aircraft amazing agility.

The Canadian government has been receiving flak by the opposition for not fully revealing the total cost of their F-35 acquisition. 16 Billion for maintenance over 20 years and 9 billion to purchase the jets. Having the newest technology costs money.

Personally I would like to see Canada with a modern fleet of jets. They can adapted to perform various roles. Better than buying old leaking submarines off the UK and then spend millions on refitting them. In the end they still have old submarines. They should have went and visited the Germans and bought some of their sleek new submarines. Good for patrolling the north and maintaining Canada's sovereignty.

Weird Canada - Mexico I5 Desert Encounter

Adventure on a trip from Canada to Mexico. I am travelling the I5 in my 36 foot motor-home and 21 foot cabin cruiser. Suddenly I hear "Bang Bang" out the back. I get out in the dark and find 2 flat tires on the trailer on one side. Cuss swear and get the jack out.

Discover with 2 flats on one side I can not get the jack under. More cussing. 1/2 later state troopers stop and pull a floor jack out of their trunk. Gets me high enough for my own jack to go under the trailer axle. They leave and call tire man. I only had one spare. Sitting on the side of the hwy 60 miles out of Phoenix, Arizona (heading to Mexico for 5 months R&R)

It is dark and I am sitting in the middle of desert with nothing around. All of a sudden there is a knock knock on my door`. WTF ? I can not believe this. Open the door and 2 Mexicans are standing there. "Amigo we have flat tire on our car. It is on the other side of hwy. Can we borrow your phone?" It is a divided hwy and I have no idea if its true or not. Can not see nothing in the dark. "OK" and I give them my phone with Canada based roaming and 5000 dollars a minute charges. (well not quite but its a lot)

They yap for 10 minutes and then I start saying "amigo, amigo" and pointing at my watch and making the money sign. Finally gets off the phone. I ask them if they want me to phone police. "No, No police they keep saying" They bugger off then.

1/2 hour goes by and no tire man. Knock knock on the door again. WTF? Open and here is the same 2 Mexicans and now there is 5 others. Holy F..k I think. They are going to rob me. I have no fire arms but one big ass butcher knife in the drawer beside my hand. If they try I think, one or 2 of them are going to know they were in a fight. "Amigo we are cold, can we come in?" Jesus I think, this could get ugly. OK I say and spread a big sheet over my carpet.

They all come in and sit on the floor. 6 guys and 1 girl. They say they are going to LA for Xmas. Think one or 2 of them were probably illegal. 2 of them are poster child's for a Mexican bandito. I keep thinking to myself, where is that tire man? Hope he gets here soon. Anyway to end the story they warmed up and left. Desert is dang cold in the night.

Hopefully one day one of them will help a Canadian in need. Got my tires fixed and spent 5 months in San Carlos, Mexico. I could handle being there right now. The good life.

After leaving a vehicle running and unattended, Russian dogs take over control of the vehicle. Result of in-experienced drivers? Parking lot ramming of cars. Dogs moved the car a second time when the female owner went to file paper work for the first incident. Perhaps the dogs were impatient to get home. A valid insurance claim was in effect at time of posting. Should dogs be tied up so this kind of accident can not happen? A person could have been walking by and been rammed by the crazed canine drivers. Resulting in serious personal injury or death. A civil suit would probably be filed. A simple drive with your dog could turn into an unexpected nightmare. Food for thought when and if you leave an unattended pet in a vehicle. It is an interesting observation to see normally mannered people turn into raving idiots when they are behind the wheel of an automobile. Driving a vehicle can bring out the worst in some people. Some may argue or spat if the licensing of individuals should be more thorough. Perhaps the training of drivers should include real life stress tests to see how the individual reacts in traffic. A "loose canon" on the road endangers everyone. A vehicle can transform a normally quiet grandmother into a Mario Andretti (race car driver) behind the wheel. A physiological change happens to some people, while others simply find driving a routine task.

In some countries cats and dogs are considered good eating also. What most find disturbing in North America, is quite acceptable in other countries. People harvest the most bountiful supply they have available. In northern Canada, baby seals are harvested for their fur and meat. Many argue or spat if it should be allowed. It is the traditional way the Eskimo people have survived for centuries. They did not have large land animals in abundance to harvest. They survived from the resources the ocean had to offer.

Are men smarter than women, or are women smarter than men? This has been debated and argued for many years. I think men and women are equal. Smart men or a genius in the past had an easier time of getting noted. Women were held back in many ancient societies. Men had a higher statue in many cases.

Restricting women only held back the advancement of society. In the 21st century, women have held positions of power and ruled some countries. Fortune 500 companies have women CEO leading innovative companies. Men and women think differently as we are genetically engineered to do so. Advanced medical studies claim that women and men use different parts of their brain. The left or right side will be more predominant in certain tasks.

In the past men and women's roles were more defined. The man usually was the bread winner and the woman looked after the home and children. Our modern society has seen many changes in the traditional sense of a family. Many families are made up of half brothers and sisters as their biological parents have remarried or taken new partners.

Although we all argue or spat about different things, music is one thing that every one can share and enjoy. Different artist, instruments and cultures bring a variety of vocal and instrumental music to the world. Some famous musicians have been hits in countries where the language is different. In other instances, similar sounding words can have a very different meaning in some languages. Video music "Good Life" posted for any one to enjoy. I kind of like the tune.
Music can affect the social climate of a room or situation. Quiet laid back music can be soothing where fast paced action beats can drive crowds into a frenzy. The crowd is a huge source of raw adrenaline that feeds off it's self. Some stadiums have seen out of control riots. People have been beaten or trampled in panic situations.

Whether there is ghosts or not is hard to say. Many people argue, debate or spat whether they exist. I am not one to speak ill of the dead. Perhaps the so called spirits are trapped in a dimension that we are not aware of. Special recording devices have captured sounds not heard by humans. Some also believe we come back to live multiple lives as different people. The paranormal phenomena is a field being explored but difficult to prove the existence of something you can not see. Some people claim to have seen ghosts and dark shadows that move.

Sheer thousand foot drop offs and skinny winding roads challenge the new and experienced drivers. IRT started as a northern trucking show feature, but now has progressed into a global trucking series where drivers tackle the toughest roads in the world. In my opinion, they must want the money and fame awfully bad to drive the horrible roads. If you lived in the 3rd world country and made a living that way, it would be different. To go putting your self deliberately in harms way could spell disaster.

USA medical system out of control

The United States medical system is breaking their country. I am all for Doctors and medical professionals making good money but it has to stay with in reason. Tax payer dollars build the hospitals and pay for the medical machinery inside. Hospitals are charging excessive amounts. A prime example is the medical bill for a Canadian skier who recently died in Utah. She was in training and had an accident. No USA medical insurance. Her week long stay in a hospital cost = 550 thousand dollars! It ended with her death. How can Obama supply free medical care for everyone with those kind of prices?
